Workshops
SIGGRAPH Asia 2014 invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference. Workshops provide participants with the opportunity to present and discuss novel research ideas on active and emerging topics of computer graphics and interactive techniques. Each workshop should generate ideas that give the community a new, organized way of thinking about a specific topic, or ideas that suggest promising directions for future research. We particularly encourage the fostering of topics or communities that do not have a “home” in other venues. Arranging a workshop is an opportunity to move the existing field forward or to build a new community.
Workshops will take place on 3 December 2014, in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (main conference venue). Two workshop formats will be available: half-day and full-day. Half-day workshops should be scheduled to have two 1.5-hour sessions, with one 15-minute break. Full-day workshops should be scheduled to have four 1.5-hour sessions, with a mid-morning break, a lunch break and a mid-afternoon break.
The Workshops program is now calling for paper submissions to the following topics that will be presented at SIGGRAPH Asia 2014:
- Indoor Scene Understanding
- Autonomous Virtual Humans and Social Robots for Telepresence
- Creative Shape Modeling and Design
- Designing Tools for Creating Interactive Content
